F is for Foot

F is for Foot

The week of 10/3 Through 10/7 was Ff is for Foot. We had lots of fund with this.
I did a separate post Footprints With Aunt Elaine of our foot prints and will put it under Fun Projects

Mostly all of the weeks printables came from 1+1+1=1

We are now into October - We had to do come calendar maintenance - the sticky-putty was sooooo not working for me - what a pain. So we upgraded our calendar to velcro - much nicer for the kids to take on and off, and mom too!

Morning Time with the Boy's:

Here are the boys working on the letter Ff with Orange play-doh

Next was our Do-A-Dot time. Orange for our color and Ff is for Foot

Pom-pom magnets did not start out so well - I think I need to limit it to what Curious needs - It may just be to many pompoms. We did end on a better note.
The F is for Frog and Fox came from Home School Creations

One on One with Jumping Bean:

Here is J.B. working on his letter Ff sound page - This printable came from Home School Creations
As he glues them on we talk about what each pic is and how it starts with the Ff sound
We put all the pages together in a book.

J.B. does this so well - He has to color each foot the right color. Example: Orange

It's sooo fun to make faces at the camera! - J.B. with the foot puzzle and lacing card.
I think I will start introducing these to Curious - the puzzle is to simple for J.B.

Some Capital F to lowercase f practice - we had to amp this up a little - so I had him trace the letter
Ff as well.

Ff is for Fish hand writing practice printable came from COHS

Learning to write the letter Ff

Here we are learning 1st, 2nd, 3rd order of events. J.B. wanted to do it so we practice the order of
stepping on mom feet - good thing he is not to heavy!

Shadow matching Capital F with lower case f.
Another thing I need to introduce to Curious.

Ff coloring sound sheet - Jumping Bean had to color it Orange first because that is our color of the week - Once he follows instructions he is free to color as he likes.
We talk about each pic and the sound Ff makes.

Cut and Paste shapes yes to Orange paper. - I cut them into strips because the last time he struggled with the long lines. - I think it went better for him this round so not so sure about the brow in the cutting pic. - As we paste them on we say each shape.

Working with our Vocab cards - Ff says flag, frog, fork, feet.....

This was fun - measuring fish with gold fish! - What a great idea! This printable came from

I took our counting cards to the entree way and we counted shoes - It took a lot of shoes!
But J.B. loved grabbing the shoes off the shelf and out of the storage boxes - lining them up and counting. - It was good physical exercise for the day!

Gluing Feather on the letter Ff - something fun and different.

Raising Rock Stars:

Here is how RRS RRS looked for us this week.
Letter Ff
Color Orange
Word for

Coloring our Verse John 3:16 - It was a long verse and hard to memorize - but by the end of the week
he got the gist of it.

Making the puppets for himself and Curious. - Then the boys use them to sing songs or say the verse.
We sang He's Got the Whole World In His Hands
Curious like it as well - did not get a good pic of him.

Learning to look for the word for. I'm not sure if the print was different in this book than others - but he had a hard time point out the word to me so - we went through the book and yes used our orange
Do-A-Dot marker and dotted the word for on each page. - He thought that was fun.

Working on the craft. - We really took our time making sure we laced the Heart the way we should - not the way we want to. - I let him lace however he wants on the other lacing cards.

Learning other Ff words in the bible - like Forever - I will sing of your love forever.

Verse and Ff review - we did not cut out our verse this week - ran out of time.

Something fun - working on riming words. He likes these puzzles a lot!
